Description
Join us in the forest for three days of fresh air, nature connection, bushcraft, games, stories and picnics.
What to expect :
We meet at 9:30 am in Jenkinstown Wood car park where you will be welcomed by Sarah, and Sara, the two group leaders. Once everyone has arrived, we walk up to our site (approx 10 min walk). The day begins with a circle time followed by options to make nature crafts, play games, climb on ropes, observe plants and animals, relax in the hammocks or play in the mud kitchen. Activities are designed to build confidence, promote wellbeing and foster appreciation for our environment. At approx. 11:30am we will have our lunch, storytime and then tidy up before heading back to the car park for collection at 12:30pm.
Age group :
For children aged 2 - 6 years old. Children under 4 must be accompanied by an adult. Those aged 3 that are comfortable to stay by themselves are welcome to do so. Siblings under 2 are welcome to accompany for free. We will be outside in the woods for 3 hours each day, even if it rains. If you are unsure if this would suit your child, please get in touch to discuss prior to booking. Places are limited. Booking closes 24h ahead of the event.
The camp will be led by a qualified and experienced Forest School Leader and an Early Years Educator. Woodkids Forest School is a member of the Irish Forest School Association.
