The Family Edit Awards 2025 were the first-ever Family Edit Awards, created to celebrate the Irish businesses that go above and beyond for families.
From pregnancy through the primary school years, the awards recognised outstanding family-friendly products, services and supports: all nominated and voted for by parents throughout Ireland, based on genuine lived experience.

Newpark Hotel, a family-friendly destination in Kilkenny, offers a variety of activities, including a kids’ camp, play areas, a 17m pool, and the Jurassic Newpark experience with life-size animatronic dinosaurs, a wildlife farm, and adventure trails. While children enjoy the Kids Club, parents can relax at the spa, dine in one of three restaurants, or enjoy live entertainment.
Founded in 2007, Starcamp empowers children across Ireland through a unique blend of performance, creativity, and fun, helping them discover their inner star. With a dedicated team and a focus on self-esteem, each camp is carefully crafted to make every moment unforgettable.
Active Kids Academy runs classes, camps, and events across Dublin and Wicklow for children and families, working with participants from 18 months to adults in their 90s. Moher Cottage, a family-run gift and coffee store located beside the iconic Cliffs of Moher in Liscannor, offers a curated selection of Irish-made gifts, artisan coffee, and their own handmade fudge. Founded by Caitríona and Kevin Considine on their family farm, the store blends tradition with innovation, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes it a beloved stop along the Wild Atlantic Way.
Playzone Celbridge, a family-run business since 2005, employs 36 staff members, including a manager, weekend manager, and party coordinator, who work hard to keep operations running smoothly. The playcentre features themed party rooms, a climbing wall, multi-tiered play areas, a soft baby area, a disco dome, and roller racers, catering to children aged 0-9 with engaging activities, school tours, camps, and a fully stocked café, all while continuously evolving to meet customer needs.
Little Puckers is a vibrant Gaelic Games playgroup for children aged 1.5 to 5 years, which began in late 2023 with two Cork City classes and has since expanded to over 30 venues across several counties. Founded by Colm Crowley, a former GAA Development Officer with 18 years of experience, the program focuses on fun, fundamental movement skills, and a gentle introduction to Gaelic Games in a safe, family-friendly setting.
Clonfert Farm, nestled in the heart of the scenic Co Kildare countryside, offers an exceptional value-for-money experience that blends the beauty of nature and the allure of animals with a variety of engaging activities. This peaceful retreat from everyday life provides a well-rounded experience, catering to the diverse interests of families, making it the perfect destination for a memorable and enjoyable day out.
BeeHappyKids is a family-owned business founded by Lorraine, her partner Conor, and their son Jake, with the goal of spreading joy and magic across Ireland. What began as a dream inspired by their daughter Maddison’s love for Cocomelon has grown into a beloved service that brings unforgettable fun to birthdays, school events, and festivals.
Water Babies provides baby swimming lessons across Ireland, offering a fun and immersive experience that builds water confidence and essential safety skills. Through their new Oceans of Imagination program, children embark on exciting aquatic adventures with the Swimvincibles, developing key swimming abilities while fostering physical, intellectual, and emotional growth.
PlayEasy is an online educational toy shop founded by Sarah Kelly, a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and trained Montessori teacher. Guided by the philosophy “Play to learn, learn to play,” PlayEasy offers curated play boxes for different age groups, featuring high-quality toys and a booklet written by Sarah with tips to support communication development, combining her speech and language expertise with fun, multi-sensory toys to help parents make the most of playtime.
Melissa Moore is the founder of My Space Play Therapy in Meath, with 30 years of experience in supporting children and families through play therapy, parent coaching, and as a mother of three. She offers play therapy for children, parent support programs, and workshops for schools, workplaces, and community groups, including her neuroscience-based Connect Programme to help parents support anxious children and strengthen family relationships.
