Baby sleep is always changing due to several factors that influence their sleep patterns. Here are a few reasons why baby sleep can vary:

1. Developmental changes: Babies go through numerous developmental milestones, such as rolling over, sitting up, crawling, and walking. These milestones can affect their sleep patterns as they adjust to new physical abilities and processes.

2. Growth spurts: Babies experience growth spurts at different periods during their first year, which often coincide with changes in their sleep patterns. During these times, they may require more sleep or be more restless during their sleep.

3. Teething: The eruption of teeth can cause discomfort and pain, leading to interrupted or restless sleep for babies. This can result in changes in their sleep patterns.

4. Separation anxiety: As babies develop attachment and awareness of their surroundings, they may experience separation anxiety when apart from their caregivers. This can lead to disrupted sleep, night waking, or changes in sleep routine.

5. Illness or discomfort: Babies are more susceptible to getting sick or experiencing discomfort, such as from ear infections. This can disrupt their sleep patterns, causing frequent waking or difficulties falling asleep.

6. Environmental factors: Changes in the environment, such as travelling, moving to a new home, or changes in room temperature, noise, or lighting, can affect a baby’s sleep. These changes can lead to adjustments in their sleep patterns.

Remember, it’s normal for baby sleep to change and evolve. It’s essential to establish consistent sleep routines, create a soothing sleep environment to promote healthy sleep habits.
