This week’s post is in collaboration with @familywalksire A full blog post will feature on their website www.familywalksireland.com in the coming weeks.
For now, suffice to say, @blarneycastleandgardens is ideal for all stages of family life … from pregnancy walks to grandparents bringing their grandkids … and everyone in between!
The Castle itself is more suitable for older children because the stairs to the top are quite narrow and steep. However, a visit here is not limited by not being inside the castle … it is as beautiful viewed from the outside and you can see it from so many angles as you explore the gardens.
There are endless walks to go on (many of them wheelchair accessible) trees to explore, spots for picnics, play areas, cafe in restored stables with plenty of outdoor seating in the courtyard, water features and much more … overall, an amazing spot for freedom and adventuring!
Two downfalls though .. expensive coffee in the cafe and you have to exit the grounds through a gift shop (unnecessary and impractical .. particularly for families)
Make sure to keep an eye on @familywalksire to know when the full blog post and review will be live!
