This is a really easy and really popular activity around here.
All you need is paper (if you’ve any envelopes left over from Christmas cards they can use that if you’ve no paper) cotton wool, clothes pegs and a container for paint (egg cartons are great for this too, or an old bun tray)
Choose your paint colours, let the kids put the cotton wool in (great for fine motor skills!) and off they go!
The kids find this really relaxing and we’ve done similar in school with older kids and they loved it too.
It’s also fun to let them off themselves and find anything else they could use … tin foil, used wrapping paper, bits of the Christmas tree!! Lots of ideas!
