Having some options that are free is great for family life! Whether it’s in your local area, day trip or on staycation, a list to reference is always handy .. so here is one for Limerick!

Some of the top recommendations for LIMERICK:

  • Playgrounds – an abundance throughout the County including Mungret, Adare, Abbeyfeale, People’s Park, O’Brien’s Park, Castletroy, Loughill Playground, Moyross, Ballingarry, Rathkeale, Newcastle West and lots more!
  • Walks, Woods and Parks – Abbeyfeale Town Park, Mungret Park, People’s Park, Croom Town Park, Foynes Forest Recreation Area, UL (riverside trails for walking and cycling) Newcastle Demesne, Desmond Castle, People’s Park, Three Bridges Walk in Limerick City (Castles and Parks along the route) and Curraghchase Forest Park (€5 for Car Park) to name a few.
  • Fairy Trails – Terra Nova Garden, Mill Road Fairy Garden, Lough Gur, Athea Fairy Mountain, Castleconnell, Glin Fairy Trail and Curraghchase.
