We parked at the Hen Mountain Car park on Sandbank Road.

There is a gravel path that runs right up around the right hand side of the mountain. This path leads up to Cock Mountain and Pigeon Mountain.

When we crossed over the gate (which is about 0.5km from car park) we start to climb straight up the mountain instead of the path. The climb is steep enough. Lots of breaks for the little legs!

We enjoyed climbing up each of the rock surfaces at the top of Hen Mountain.

We came back down around the back of the mountain which led back down to the path.

Just over 4km up and back. We all really enjoyed it. Can’t wait to head back to do the Cock and Pigeon Mountain.
