Wexford Lavender Farm in North Wexford is this week’s #familyfriendlyireland spot.
The farm has two acres of lavender to enjoy but that’s only the start of it … there is a fantastic playground for kids, a beautiful cafe in a converted barn (and an ice-cream stand which proves popular for adults and kids!!), a quad barrel train ride (Billy the Bull), woodland walks, plenty of picnic spots and a visitor centre to explore.
Last year they opened their Artists’ Attic which features homemade crafts direct from local designers.
July and August are recommended as the best times to visit as the lavender is in full bloom, but there is plenty of interest to visit here all year round.
