A Day at Camp
Each day follows a natural rhythm, with a balance of guided activities and child-led exploration. Children might build a den, climb trees, make something from natural materials, help prepare food, explore the woodland, sketch and collect nature materials, or simply find a quiet spot in a hammock. Our Forest School Leaders and Assistants provide guidance and support while giving children the freedom to lead their own adventures.
Our camps are designed to help children develop independence, resilience, problem-solving skills, creativity and teamwork, all while enjoying the freedom and benefits of outdoor play. There are no screens — just fresh air, nature, hands-on learning and plenty of opportunities to have fun.
Children are supported by qualified and experienced Forest School Leaders and Assistants who create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment.
We run at a maximum of 24–32 children per week, depending on the site, to ensure a child-centred experience. Morning and full-day children take part alongside each other, creating one shared group experience.
Bookings close 24 hours before the start of camp. As the skills and relationships developed through our 4-day programme are integral to the full experience, we do not offer individual-day or part-attendance bookings. For one-day experiences, please see our Wilderness Days.
