Seasonal books are so much fun to read with the kids .. we keep some stored away with the Halloween decorations and bring them out as a treat. Others stay in the basket all year!
We usually buy one or two new ones to add to the collection each year. There are always some great offers to find .. we got ‘Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere’ for only €2.99 in our local book shop and it was a great find!
‘Room on the Broom’ by Julia Donaldson and Alex Scheffler is a fantastic, well-known story about a witch and it’s one that’s taken out to read all year long here!
Halloween lends itself to so many books .. any book with a witch or dragon, monster or skeleton.. but it’s also about unicorns and fairies, book characters and superheroes .. the choice is endless really!
Another great spot for Halloween books is the library. Our local one has a fantastic selection of Winnie the Witch books which are always requested by our gang at this time of year!!
