July 18, 2024 at 9:40 amMy 8 and 6 year old absolutely loved forest school! They attended for a week of summer camp and are already begging to go back for afterschool club. It’s like no other camp! Kate is amazing at getting everyone’s imagination engaged- they have built camps, made pea shooters, played forest games, learned about the mother tree, drank lemon balm tea and so much more! Every day they come home tired from so much playtime and fresh air, but full of stories and excited to go again. Thanks to Kate and Cressida for hosting such a great space for kids!

July 18, 2024 at 10:40 amMy 5 and 7 year old had such a great time with Kate at the Dúlra summer camp. It’s so reminiscent of a typical 80’s childhood growing up in the country and it’s so lovely to see children getting the same enjoyment from nature as we did children.
We will definitely be back for the next one!!

July 20, 2024 at 8:10 amMy 8 year old boy has just finished up another summer camp with Kate and Cressida. A wholesome week outdoors learning lots and having fun. Thankfully the Irish weather didn’t deter him in the mornings. He loved the crafts that he made taking immense pride in his butter knife. He’s also done the afterschool programme on Wednesdays which is a great way to spend an evening after being cooped up in a classroom.
Highly recommend Kate’s programmes!

August 1, 2024 at 10:08 pmMy 6 and 5 year old absolutely loved forest school Camp! I did not know too much about it before they attended but wow was I amazed! It’s like no other camp! I noticed their behaviour in general actually improved the week they attended which was no suprise given all the wonderful time they were spending with nature. It was a total realisation they need this time in nature every single day. They came home everyday so excited to tell me all they learnt and the fun they were having. They were so proud of the skills they learnt and the lovey crafts they made. They would go every day if they could. I have booked them both in for the weekly after school starting in September. I highly recommend Kates programmes for all children and look forward to doing more!

August 18, 2024 at 3:07 pmDúlra Forest School has been an incredible experience for my 8 and 5-year-old children. It’s truly the highlight of their week during term time, and they wanted to attend every day over the summer! Each session, they come home happy, relaxed, and full of wonderful memories. The impact of forest school has been so positive that both of my children have repeatedly asked if Dúlra could be their full-time school and if Kate could be their teacher! 😍♥️ It’s a testament to the nurturing environment and engaging activities that Kate and the Dúlra team offers. Highly recommended!

August 18, 2024 at 3:11 pmMy 7 year old has done a term of after-school forest camp and just finished a summer camp in Burtown house , he always comes out grinning from ear to ear proud as punch about what hes made . Kate is an amazing teacher , he would also come out quite a bit with words of wisdom Kate had told him or encouragement and praise that he would still be beaming about when he got home. It’s a great way to get kids out and about .

September 23, 2024 at 8:06 pmWent to Culture Night with Dúlra for adults. It was a fantastic night, being in the woods, making tea from nettles and berries, making slate necklaces. I learnt a lot and had a great night. Would come again!

May 1, 2025 at 3:46 pmAs a parent of a neurodivergent child the acceptance and inclusion of my child in camps has been a struggle. Not so when I signed my son up for Forest school and Wilderness camp. It is the first time I have had a positive response. Kate was welcoming, open minded and interested to have my son involved. He loved the experience, especially when he was trusted to explore and to use tools to built and create. It is heartening to have people accept him as he is. The Forest school is ideal for his energy levels and to give him a sense of autonomy, adventure and confidence. I would recommend this experience to any parent, but especially to those looking for a neuroaffirmative, inclusive space. Thank you to Kate and all the facilitators 🙏🥰

May 4, 2025 at 9:24 pmOur 6 year old son, absolutely loved his time at Dulra Easter camp in Oberstown this year! He normally doesn’t like getting dirty or like insects, spiders, etc… but his time at the Easter camp has completely changed his attitude towards the outdoors! Seeing him come home dirty and talking about how we need to protect the spiders was amazing. We initially put him in for half days but after day 2 he was asking to do the full day, this just shows how much he enjoyed the whole experience. A massive thank you to Kate and all the team at Dulra for an extremely enjoyable week. We honestly think this camp has the best activity we have had him try.

October 24, 2025 at 6:24 pmMy daughter has always loved the woods, animals and being outdoors, but Dúlra brought that love to a whole new level. She discovered her passion for climbing trees here, and with it came a huge boost in her confidence, in her own strength, ability and bravery. Learning how to climb, tie rope, light fires safely and use tools with care and respect has been incredible for her. She felt trusted, capable and responsible, and it was a joy to see how proud she was of herself.
Kate, Cressida and the whole Dúlra team create something truly special, a place where children can be completely themselves, believed in and given real freedom to grow. I wish we had discovered it sooner, but at 11 years old now, the Wild Grrls programme is now the perfect next step for her. She’s growing up, finding her own path, and Dúlra is giving her the space, skills and confidence to do that with joy and courage.
Dúlra Forest School has been a wonderful discovery for us. It’s the closest thing I’ve seen to the kind of childhood we took for granted growing up in 1980s Ireland, outdoors until you were called in for dinner, free, fearless and full of imagination. 🌿💚

October 30, 2025 at 10:45 pmMy 7 and 5 year olds both go to Dúlra weekly and it is their most loved after school activity bar none! Every week they come home covered in mud and sharing stories, songs and crafts. The tools and crafts they have made are prized possessions now at home.
Kate, Cressida and all the teachers take the time to get to know each child and make them feel safe and included, while still encouraging independence and adventure.
Dúlra is now a regular part of the weekly routine and not to be missed!
