Description
Make memories that will last a life time at our private glamping site in Ballydehob. Our two handmade teardrop camper vans, with views out to Mount Gabriel are complimented by a converted barn, offering families a unique holiday experience under the stars in West Cork.
The sleeping arrangements are as follows: Barn - double bed in an open plan living/kitchen/bed space. Above there is a sleeping platform that has a double floor mattress. There is room for a third person/kid should you wish to bring another air mattress or just even sleeping bags.
Then each pod has a 6ft double mattress in it so can either sleep two adults and a small kid or an adult and two kids. There’s plenty of space in them and they are located about 100m from the barn.
There is an option of course to pitch a tent too if you would like some extra space.
Our converted barn was lovingly restored by hand by my Grandfather Tony and mum Carol. It has been a labour of love which now offers our guests an open plan living, dining and kitchen space, wood burning stove, couch and double bed for which we provide the bedding. Our kitchen has a fridge, oven, 4 gas hob, microwave, kettle and toaster and all the utensils you will need for your stay.
Our two teardrop sleeping pods were once again handmade my Grandad Tony and come equipped with everything you will need for making memories under the stars in Ballydehob. Perfect for grown ups, teenagers or small children accompanied by an adult. We offer electrical supply points, usb charging point, gas cooker, camping cutlery and utensils, and electronic cooler box. The pods have a mattress and top sheet protector. Guests are required to bring their own sleeping bags, pillows and towels. Pods are located less than 100m from the Barn along a lit path.
Our BBQ area comes complete with cover for rainy days, and picnic benches for al fresco dining. The bathroom is located adjacent to the barn. It has a hot water shower, heated towel rail and ironing/hair dryer facilities. You must walk outside to use the bathroom.
IMPORTANT: Bathroom facilities are of glamping standard and are eco-friendly working off a well system. They are not suitable for long showers. We ask that you limit your showers to 3 minutes to ensure there is ample water and to protect the environment.
We are an active family and pet friendly. We have two friendly kittens, a goat called Dave and a playful Labrador puppy Mike. Do let us know if you would like to bring your pet along to stay.
