Description
Location: Glenveagh National Park, Co. Donegal. (Directions here)
Path: Path to the castle – this is a 4km gravel path, hilly in places. There is limited shelter along this path.
Path to the waterfall (3km from the castle) and beyond – this path is quite rocky, even for bikes and much steeper in places too. Provides a great workout for cyclists but very bumpy for mini passengers.
Facilities: Accessible gravel path, toilets, café at the castle, bike hire, bus available from the car park to the castle. Picnic hut (past the gates of the castle towards the waterfall)
Features: Glenveagh Castle, Gardens, Lookout point (very steep climb), Waterfall, stunning landscape.
