Location: Reenagross Park, Kenmare, Co. Kerry
Located in Kenmare, County Kerry, this park is approximately 3km of a loop trail. This park features a lake, which is good for all skill levels. Usually, this park is used for nature trips, walking & trail running, hiking. You can bring your dogs to this trail (but they must be kept on a leash.)
History in a nutshell: At first it was built as a private park by the first Marquis of Lansdowne (1739-1803). It had very few trees and was an open peninsula. In the mid of the 19th century a boathouse, a woodland, and a pier were established.
This is a gorgeous area to go for walks and picnic.
There are various paths you can choose from. All buggy accessible (apart from one part over the bridge where you would need help to carry the buggy up)
There is an area with outdoor gym equipment
There are a few places to paddle and wooded areas to explore.
