Location: Rossbeigh, County Kerry, Ireland
Rossbeigh Beach is a long beach distanced 2 miles from the Glenbeigh village on Co. Kerry. It’s a Blue Flag Awarded sandy beach ideal for a family day out, horse trekking, water activities like swimming, surfing, and long walks. There are lifeguards during the bathing seasons. Ideal to visit with family & children, there is a children's playground on the beach as well. There are a lot of restaurants and café in the nearby village of Glenbeigh.
In January 2014 Rossbeigh Beach got hit badly in a storm & it was fully restored to a beautiful beach. Its also a Castlemaine Harbour Special Area of Conservation (SAC), Special Protection Area (SPA), and proposed Natural Heritage Area (pNHA). Important habitats, flora, and fauna are present in this area.
