In its 12 years of operation, SAGE Midleton has been synonymous with Kevin Aherne’s culinary prowess using produce sourced from within 12 Miles of its front door. Highly acclaimed nationally and internationally, the restaurant has been on an evolutionary path since its humble beginnings in 2008. Never one to rest on his laurels, Kevin Aherne promised that 2020 would bring more changes for this well established gem in Cork’s culinary crown. These changes were evident when Sage was relaunched as Sage 2.0 in April 2020. Describing the new offerings as ‘funky, full flavoured and edgy’, Aherne says that SAGE 2.O has moved away from the fine dining experience to create a fresh, modern, casual eatery in east Cork which will keep inclusivity, fun and affordability at its centre.  ‘Great cooking does not need to mean fine dining’ says Aherne. ‘I want to offer people great food that they can enjoy everyday without the trappings and fuss of the fine dining experience’. Our fantastic walled courtyard offer ample amounts of outdoor seating and a lush Garden Room filled with fresh herbs & grape vines.  The newly decorated indoor dining room offers a safe indoor option for the cooler months.  Sage 2Go Food Store is also located on the premises offering the very best of local Irish products, light lunches, wine and Sage 2G0 ready meal range.
