Description
Strandhill beach is on the outskirts of Buncrana, Co. Donegal. 1km long, you can drive right across it so there is no need to unpack the car and repack. Some days the tides out really far so there are mountains of space to explore. We find plenty of sea life at Stragill, huge crabs, jellyfish, starfish, and maybe the odd dolphin.
You can walk from Stragill to neighboring beaches, Porthaw and Linsfort, which are both just as beautiful with crystal clear waters.
Just be careful of the tides, there have been a few cars stranded in the past.
