Wild Atlantic Glamping

Wild Atlantic Glamping is a unique island retreat, located on the eastern end of Bere Island, with stunning views over Bantry Bay. A stay at Wild Atlantic Glamping is all about making memories – exploring rock pools, jumping off the pier, eating freshly caught fish, toasting marshmallows over the campfire, discovering hidden coves on a kayak and enjoying the freedom of being on an island.

Designed to help guests slow down and reconnect with nature, the site combines comfort, adventure and spectacular coastal scenery along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. Our glamping accommodation is designed to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay and includes six architect designed luxury pods and four spacious canvas bell tents. Each unit has its own private terrace with seating, allowing guests to relax and take in the sea views. Guests are welcomed with a selection of local produce, including Bere Island Honey and Lorge Hot Chocolate.

Beyond accommodation, Wild Atlantic Glamping also offers versatile, purpose-built facilities. A large, bright and welcoming indoor room can be used as a dining area for guests or transformed into a venue for workshops, retreats, training sessions, private celebrations, family gatherings and small events. The facility also includes a fully equipped shared kitchen, bathroom and shower facilities, and a spacious covered outdoor terrace with picnic tables, a communal firepit and BBQ area - ideal for group activities and social gatherings. The site has direct access to the sea, providing opportunities for swimming, diving, kayaking and sailing.

Bere Island is also a paradise for walkers and explorers. The island’s trails form part of the wider Beara Way, a spectacular network of over 220 kilometres of walking routes that extend across the Beara Peninsula. Bere Island hosts some of the Beara Way’s highlights, offering walkers a unique combination of rich military heritage and breathtaking coastal scenery.
