Rudaí Olla

Rudaí Olla opened it's virtual doors in July 2019. While pregnant with my Rainbow Baby during 2018 I made my very first rainbow as a way to keep my mind busy and have something in the nursery that would always reminds me of how strong I was and the journey we went through to become parents. After my son was born, I struggled to find a balance of being a mom and being myself and after a few months was diagnosed with PPD. I started attending counselling which helped me so much and she was the one who gave me the confidence to open up this small business of mine. The name Rudaí Olla means "woollen things" as gaeilge, as the first thing I made was a woollen rainbow.

When Rudaí Olla first opened, our main product was yarn macrame rainbow wall hangings but over the years we have expanded and now have a selection of yarn macrame products including cake toppers, bag charms, wall hangings and dream catchers to name a few. These are all handmade in our home studio and so can be made in your choice of colours. We have also now have a collection of hand knit bonnets, totes, cards & prints, which are all designed in house. We try to incorporate as much happiness, 'irish-isms' and gaeilge in our products as we can to spread even more positivity.

My main focus with Rudaí Olla is to make people smile. Life can be very hard, so if my pieces can make even one person smile then I consider myself very lucky!
