The Mountain Forge Escape

Step back in time at the Mountain Forge Escape with your hosts Conor and Bernadette Hegarty. We have erected a purpose built glamping site which provides families and those seeking adventure a truly warm, memorable stay and the best of facilities.

Set at our home in a local village called Ardfield, our campsite has stunning views and stands at the beginning of the Wild Atlantic Way. We are located just 4 minutes from the vibrant Clonakilty town. We believe that this will set you up to experience West Cork life at your ease.

We understand the importance of providing a campsite with wet rooms and wheelchair accessibility whilst enjoying the natural things in life. This is what makes us unique.

We offer a large communal facility to support your basic needs. This includes a reception area and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, electric kettle, toaster, hob and oven.

We offer 30 well spaced out tent pitches with plenty of space for you and your family. If you wish to bring your campervan, there are 16 areas all within walking distance to village.

We are also proud to announce the arrival of our Dome – one of a kind in Ireland. With it’s unique large transparent window, it will bring your glamping to a whole new experience, captivating our stunning views and wildlife.
