Woodlands Play Therapy

Michelle is the founder of Woodlands Play Therapy, which is based in Prosperous, Co. Kildare.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies and Social Science, a Masters in Child, Family & Community Studies and a Certificate in Child Psychology. In addition, she is an accredited play therapist, holding a postgraduate certificate in therapeutic play skills and a postgraduate diploma in play therapy, in addition to her full accreditation certificate. She is also an accredited creative mindfulness practitioner.

Michelle began working in private practice in Play Therapy Wicklow in 2019, and became a partner in 2020. She is currently contracted with Childhood Cancer Ireland, Hand in Hand, Wicklow Child and Family Project, and various cancer support units around the Wicklow area. She is actively engaging in client work in Play Therapy Wicklow and Woodlands Play Therapy, and has years of experience with children who present with a wide range of concerns.

Michelle works with children and young people aged 3 years to 12 years of age, and offers one to one play therapy sessions, group therapy sessions and creative mindfulness groups.

Michelle maintains professional membership with Play Therapy Ireland, which is affiliated with Play Therapy International. Regular Garda vetting is one of the requirements for this membership. She is fully insured through the Psychologists Protection Society, which ensures that there is an extremely high standard of professionalism and safety within Woodlands Play Therapy.
