Clonea Strand

Location: Clonea Strand, Clonea, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford

Clonea Strand is a 1.8 kilometer Blue Flag award winner beautiful sandy beach located in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford (10 minutes driving distance from Dungarvan). People come here for walking, flying kites, kayaking, cycling , swimming, and enjoying the sea view. In early 2017 a long walking and cycling track, the Waterford Greenway, was opened. Formerly a disused railway line, this offers 46 km of a paved walkway. There are clean toilets for visitors and there is one free parking (a bit further from the beach) and a paid parking on the beach.
