This recipe was suggested for us to try because we had been looking for a great sauce recipe that we could make and add to any variation of vegetables and sides that we had in the house at the time. The Super Valu recipe came up trumps and we love it!! We’ll share the sauce recipe with you and then we’ll give some examples of meals we’ve made with it!
Stir-Fry Sauce Ingredients:
2 teaspoons Cider Vinegar
2 tablespoons Oyster Sauce
1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
4 teaspoon Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons Sweet Chilli Sauce
4 teaspoons Tomato Ketchup
Vegetable / Bean Mixtures:
*Sweet Potato, Courgette, Peppers and Green Beans, Onions, Garli, Ginger [thumb size]
*Butter Beans, Mushroom, Peppers, Brocolli, Onions, Garlic
*Basically any vegetables / beans /meat that you have in the house!!
Serving:
*Spelt Buckwheat Noodles [add this to the vegetable mixture and sauce and mix together before serving]
*Basmati Rice
*Wholegrain Pasta
Top Tip:
If you feel the Sweet Chilli Sauce would be too spicy for your kids, just leave it out! Or add 1 tablespoon … our First Born doesn’t like spicy food and she doesn’t even notice the 1 tablespoon!!
