This week’s book is the gorgeous “Naturama” written by Michael Fewer and illustrated by Melissa Doran.
The book is separated into the four seasons, with a little history of each season, and then it beautifully details what insects, birds, animals, plants and flowers you will see in the garden, park and countryside in Ireland. The illustrations are so gorgeous which ensures that children of all ages will love it.
Each season we love to read parts of it and look at all the pictures with our kids (Small Man is 2 and Queen Bee is 3 and 1/2 years) but older children (e.g 8 – 12years) would love to read it themselves … and us parents can learn a lot from it too!!!
A very special book to have in your own home but also makes a gorgeous keepsake gift… a gift of opening children’s eyes to what is around them is something very special. This is a book we will treasure for a long time … and will continue to consult when we’re asked the name of flowers on a wood walk!! @gillbooks @goradiate
